Abstract
Over the last 16 years, Furman magazine has chronicled the course of the university under the leadership of David E. Shi '73. As his presidency winds down towards its conclusion June 30, we asked him to discuss the challenges, achievements and decisions of his presidency, and how he dealt with the complexities of the office.
