The Opioid Crisis In Correlation with Wisdom Teeth Removal Surgery
Abstract
The goal of this research is to analyze the correlation between wisdom teeth removal surgeries and the overprescription of opioids. The issue of overprescription of opioid drugs is becoming more prominent in America as the number of addictions and overdoses contines to rise. Another issue that can been seen is that people do not know how or where to safely return medications so they are not being returned. Results are expected to show that medications for wisdom teeth surgeries are being over prescribed and people do not know how to properly dispose of the drugs. A survey will be used to search for a correlation between these variables.
