Abstract

In this experiment, 12 groups of male and female drosophila are going to be experimented with E-Liquid in order to determine the effects the chemicals have on their lives. The independent variable will be the different amounts of the E-Liquid concentration to see the correlation between tests. Before separating the flies into their own vials, the drosophila culture mix will be added along with water and yeast to create a healthy environment for the flies. They will then be separated into groups of ten and added into their vias along with the concentration of E-Liquid. For this experiment, the hypothesis was, as the concentration of E-Liquid added increases, the lifespan will decrease. The amount of ml added into each of the 4 groups, with 3 vials per group, in order to make sure that if one group fails, there would be different groups with the same concentration still being experimented on. In the end, the results supported the hypothesis that the higher concentration of E-Liquid added decreased the overall lifespan of the flies.
