My poster will demonstrate how the MHC minor provided unique classes and opportunities to prepare me to be a better doctor by teaching me skills I will need that I did not learn in normal pre-medicine classes. These skills included learning about how different cultures impact patients' approach to health, how to speak in Spanish medical jargon, to appreciate social demographics of health and how they impact patients' health, and ways to approach ethical dilemmas in a healthcare situation.
