Sit up close and personal with 180 student musicians as they prepare Leonard Bernstein’s hopeful and life-affirming choral-orchestral work Chichester Psalms for a Friday night concert in McAlister Auditorium. The hour includes historical background on one of America’s icons of music, the genesis of this unique work sung in Hebrew, and a sampling of the rehearsal process melding the sounds of voices and instruments.
