Description

My paper addresses the topic of environmental education in Chilean schools. Climate change is an urgent issue worldwide, and education's power to influence populations' attitudes and behaviors warrants investment in environmental curriculum. In Chile, awareness of climate and conservation issues is relatively high, but a disconnect exists between this awareness and practical environmentally-friendly behaviors and choices. The environmental education curriculum can do much more to promote sustainable lifestyles and development as the country moves forward.
