Description

Furman University has worked hard over the last decade to understand our environmental impact and carbon footprint. We have pledged to reduce our carbon footprint and reach carbon neutrality by 2026, our bicentennial year. In order to reach this goal, tracking and active efforts to reduce our carbon footprint are in progress. Camden Adams has spent this academic year working towards meeting this goal. His work has focused on solutions and finding plausible reductions using the AASHE STARS sustainability rating system as his guide. He will outline the steps taken to date, current efforts and the plans we are developing for the future as we continue to work our way to carbon neutrality.
