Presentation will address why agencies such as First Steps are needed in our communities (research on quality early childhood Birth to age 5 education), key projects and activities participated in, and major takeaways from the experience including what was learned about self and capacity for leadership. It will share how this internship provided exposure to diverse stakeholders concerned about early childhood education birth to age 5, and how it impacted college student development including civic identity and critical thinking.
