Description
We investigated the associations of characteristics of post-work e-mail communication with off-job recovery. Participants completed surveys about post-work e-mailing and recovery experiences for five consecutive working days. The frequency and duration of post-work e-mailing, as well as the perceived tone of the e-mails, were shown to undermine employee recovery.
