Description
High-fat diets have been shown to affect cognitive function. Our study aims to determine the effect of adipose inflammation on neuroinflammation. Previous research has suggested the validity of diet-induced neural inflammation. Microglia in the brain will be primarily used to study neural inflammatory responses. Researchers will study the effects of adipose scaffold inflammation on rat brains. In order to conduct the study, cryostating and immunochemistry techniques will be implemented. Immunohistochemistry will be used to evaluate both microglial inflammation and the effects on macrophage count in adipose tissue.
