Abstract

Mobile app development teams must be prepared to make changes quickly with a small team to work with, so reviews are a very important aspect of development. However, when star ratings are not available, developers have to find another way to judge the sentiment behind a message. This is where emojis come into play; my research was about trying to determine how someone felt about an app based on the emojis they use in the review. For that, I had to create a raw feedback paster that would store all the reviews in a database. This program would allow for reviews to be added, deleted, and modified and make it easier to analyze reviews. As this project is ongoing, theoretically the result will be a way to easily automate analyzing reviews of a product using previous research into the sentiment and emotion behind emojis. Since change is required to be quick with a small task force, this development would make work easier for app developers.
