The Furman Humanities Review accepts submissions from Furman University undergraduates and recent alumni; work produced for a Furman University course or independent research project is eligible for consideration. Recommended submission length is 10-20 pages (double spaced). FHR considers essays in history, philosophy, literature, linguistics, archaeology, religion, communication studies and rhetoric, political science, and art history, theory, and criticism.

The submission deadline will vary annually but is typically early in Spring semester. Blind review is conducted by an editorial board of Furman faculty drawn from related scholarly disciplines.
