Abstract
The purpose of this experiment was to determine whether or not a sunshade put in the windshield of a car has any effect on the interior temperature in said car. The experiment was performed in a parking lot at Heathwood Hall where the weather varied greatly from day to day. The experiment was performed by parking the car, and choosing one of two options, apply the sunshade or leave the car unshaded. After the choice is made a thermometer is left in the car for 8 hours and the temperature is measured afterward, also the outside temperature should be noted. The next day the procedure is repeated, but the choice is alternated. After 2 weeks of alternating the data showed no significant difference between with or without a sunshade. Through this data, we can conclude that the sunshade had no effect on the interior temperature of the car.
