Abstract
Dogs experience tissue, muscle, elbow, and hip problems when jumping in and out of vehicles, truck beds, etc. This is proven by a study shown by Dr. Alison Wills at Hartpury University, where she tested the stress/ force being put on dogs when they jump into and out of vehicles. Our project is to give pet owners or veterinarians a safe and reliable way to let dogs enter and exit vehicles or heightened areas without picking them up or having them jump. We are designing a project that allows the consumer to have a portable device that can transform from a ramp to steps depending on dog preference.
