The audio details the Furman Lake's problems, causes of these problems, and gives some solutions. Furman Professors Wade Worthen and Weston Dripps speak about the Furman Lake's restoration. Students talk about their involvement in the lake restoration, the current efforts in the project, as well as improvements already made.

The recording gives a brief social history of the lake, and details the environmental history of the area, before modern development. A student speaks of her research on the problems of waterfowl overpopulation, bacteria in the lake, and surface runoff. It concludes with a call to action to restore the lake's environmental integrity.

  A six minute, twenty second audio recording created by Furman students from the COM-95 class that describes the cultural significance of the Furman Lake, and it's importance to the Furman Community. Alumni and students reflect on the social history of the lake, sharing memories of recreational events and Furman Lake traditions, like being thrown into the lake on your birthday. It concludes with a call to restore the lake's environmental integrity.

  A four minute, thirty four second audio recording An audio recording created by Furman students from the COM-95 class describing the Furman Lake restoration project and the future of the Furman Lake. The audio gives a brief social history of the lake describing past recreational events, and then proceeds to explain current environmental problems that now limit recreational activity. Professor Wade Worthen speaks about the lake's environmental problems, and Furman's president, David Shi, speaks about the restoration project, its goals, and the benefits of the lake's restoration.

  A five minute, forty four second audio recording created by Furman students from the COM-95 class describing Cliffs Cottage, Southern Living Magazine's first sustainable showcase home located on the Furman campus. The home is LEED–registered Platinum, and is a model of environmentally responsible design, building techniques, materials and energy-saving systems. Ed Marshall, Furman's Director of Special Projects, and Furman's President, David Shi, speak about the cottage and its purpose, as well as Furman's organic garden located near the cottage.
