The Sub-Librarians, the Trained Cormorants, the Curious Collectors of Baker Street, and other local Sherlockians met on June 29th, 2008 from 4:00pm-5:30pm in Room 207 D in the Anaheim Convention Center for the 34th (Irregular) Annual meeting. Marsha Pollak and John Farrell, a member of The Trained Cormorants, welcomed the group, and the traditional toasts followed.

Leslie S. Klinger, one of the world's foremost authorities on Sherlock Holmes and Dracula presented on the twin icons of the Victorian era: Dracula, Sherlock Holmes, and Other Victorian Friends.

Klinger is the editor of the three-volume collection of the short stories and novels, THE NEW ANNOTATED SHERLOCK HOLMES, published by W.W. Norton in 2004 and 2005, winner of the Edgar Award for Best Critical/Biographical Work and nominated for other major awards in the mystery genre.

His presentation referenced his latest work, THE NEW ANNOTATED DRACULA, published by W.W. Norton on October 31, 2008.
