Description
At the 31st (Irregular) Annual meeting, the Sub-Librarians toured the Arthur Conan Doyle Collection, one of the world's finest collections of materials by and about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, at the Toronto Reference Library. Marsha Pollak, Doug Wrigglesworth of the Friends of Arthur Conan Doyle and Bob Coghill of the Bootmakers welcomed the group. Victoria Gill, Curator, gave an introduction to the Collection, emphasizing Sherlock Holmes. Afterwards there was a "Coffee and Sticky Buns" light reception, hosted by The Bootmakers of Toronto, the local Sherlock Holmes scion society. Bob Coghill gave a talk and slide presentation. The Sub-Librarians met and mingled with the Bootmakers and the Friends of the ACD Collection.
