Description
A Sherlockian cocktail party at the Newberry Library, featuring wine, soft drinks, hors d'oevres, and displays of Sherlockian books, including books which might have been found in Holmes's own library. Gunnar Sundin, of the Criterion Bar Association, gave a talk on Sherlock Holmes's London Today. George Scheetz read Vincent Starrett's poem "221B". Local arrangements thanks to Karen Skubish of the Newberry Library.
